Rating about the company:
Fernanda Cappello's estate covers 135 hectares, of which 126 are vineyards, which is among the largest extensions of western Friuli, where the soils, composed of calcareous-dolomitic alluvial sediments, are notoriously arid, lean, stony, ideal for the cultivation of vines.
The company, purchased by her father at the end of the 60s, is run with undisputed entrepreneurial skills by Fernanda, an architect, who in 1988 decided to abandon the previous activity in order to devote herself completely to the management of the wine property.
This year's novelty is the Pinot Noir '20, which ranks among the best in its category, conquering the palate for the linearity and lightness of the sip. It smells of raspberry juice and strawberry jam, embellished with hints of sweet spices and dried herbs. All the other wines are very representative of the territory, maintaining and enhancing the varietal characteristics of each individual grape variety.
